Tips to find makeup foundation for your skin
Some people find that makeup foundation contributes to clogged pores and other skin problems. Others find that when they wear foundation or powder it seems to accentuate every pore and every bump on their skin even more than without wearing it at all.
The good news is you can find what works for you! The following few tips will help you choose a product that works for your skin.
The Laura Mercier foundation primer works well on open pores. But if you do not like the idea of having to slap on too many things on your face, to minimize pore size simply fill up pores on the cheeks (that’s what the primer does) with foundation and cover up the rest of your face with powder.
Smashbox is a clear gel-type formula, and only a teeny amount is needed for your entire face. You will like the silky texture when applying and the smoothness of your skin after applying. Use a bit on your neck, too! It does create a nice prep for foundation or tinted moisturizer.
Many gals use Monistat Soothing Care Powder-Gel (not to be confused with the yeast infection treatment made by the same company). Technically, it is not makeup foundation, but it works. Your makeup just goes on so smoothly and makes it last all day.
Some people have found that covering blemishes with the Lipstick-tube “spot-covers” and then brushing on mineral powder foundation does the trick. If you want to go a bit pricey, then Bare Minerals by Bare Escentuals is good as well.
